I'm a long term 1Password user and wouldn't store sensitive information in Evernote, or other cloud services for that matter. Bank details, passport scans, membership cards all go into 1P.
I pay for the family plan to share with the househould and it's rather convenient that the company I work for are on 1Password too, so I can use the same app for everything (accounts remain separate and split into vaults).
I totally agree, Dany! I also use 1Password and share the app with my spouse. Like you, I have one encrypted note in Evernote that contains some financial numbers for our various investment accounts (no actual account numbers or passwords, however.) An encrypted notebook would be a great idea!
I do have some text in EN that is "Encrypted". Not a lot and no passwords.
Using an specialized app for passwords can make things so much easier to navigate web sites and other things with auto fill from the app.
For several years now, I've been using1Password as a vault for everything from passwords, credit cards, bank accounts...
One of the things that I like about it is that I can share items with my better half.
I think the only things I have encrypted are software license keys... sharing passwords is a huge bonus.

Maybe just a right click and "Encrypt notebook" and then everything inside gets encrypted and maybe a little padlock appears on the icon.
I do use Evernote to store my passwords. I have them in an Excel spreadsheet that is password protected and then the note is loaded into Evernote.
Good idea. I take it the spreadsheet preview doesn't work for password protected files?
