AMA 45: Does a shared Evernote notebook and notes count towards the recipients quota if they're on the free plan?
This week on Ask Me Anything about Evernote we have a question from Ant.
If you have a question you’d love an answer to then leave it in the comments below and I’ll add it to the list.
Ant asks
Does a shared notebook and its notes count towards the recipients quota if they're on the free plan?
Excellent question.
The Evernote free plan gives you one notebook and 50 notes so it's really easy to fill things up quickly.
Folks on the paid plans can share a notebook to anyone else with an Evernote account.
Just enter their email address and select some permissions.
Hit Send invite
and away you go.
The notebook will appear under Shared with me
in the sidebar.
Free plan users can access all the notes in the notebook even if there are more than 50 as long as they keep the notes in the Shared with me
section.
If they move or copy any notes or the notebook into their own Evernote it counts against the free plan quota.
This type of sharing is great if members of your family have free plans, you can share entire notebooks with them.
I hope that helps.
Don't forget to leave your questions in the comments below.
Have a great rest of the week
All the best
