AMA 61: Do you use Evernote Home? I'm not sure I can find a use for it.

Do you use Evernote Home? I’m not sure I can find a use for it.
I do, and I find it useful, especially first thing in the morning.
Now I don’t use it all the time. I’m not flicking to the home page much during the day as I tend to switch between notes, tasks, spaces and notebooks a lot especially when I’m working on specific projects.
When I do find it useful is first thing in the morning when I boot up and load Evernote my home screen appears right away and I can quickly see what tasks and meetings I have for the day. I can also see any admin jobs that have been emailed in during the night.
This is what my Evernote Home looks like for today.
I see my calendar with any meetings or jobs listed. Quiet today as its a travel day.
Next to my calendar is a filtered note widget that shows any notes tagged Flow. This means my invoice software or CRM database has emailed something in during the night that needs looking at.
I then have a medium sized task widget that shows me all the tasks I have to do. I’ve already completed a bunch for today and next office day is Friday, so not a lot showing right now.
Next is my scratch pad which I use to remember small things like phone numbers and things I don’t need to keep forever.
Finally, I have another filtered note widget that shows my .Inbox notebook which is my catch-all place. I have a few automated systems that email things into this notebook and it’s sometimes nice to see what’s new.
And that’s it. Pretty simple.
The idea is that I have an overview of the day, not too much detail, just enough so I know what’s going on. For today, I know I had to do four things and this AMA before I head off travelling to a job. There’s not too many surprises.
I might hit the home screen two or three times during the day, pull it up a couple of times on my phone but most of the time I’m working inside notebooks and spaces.

I'm in the same ballpark as you, Jon. It's a starting point for me with a few reminders about what's coming up. Once I'm into my daily processing, I'm using Tasks as my main workflow control, identifying the specific aspects of projects that need dealing with.
I'd love Home BUT the continuing lack of iOS integration (unless I've missed something) is so frustrating. I'd love to use it as my base for everything really, but until I can get the calendar to work it just won't.
I know there's a workaround involving Google calendar, but there's also a ridiculous problem where the Google calendar integration massively slows down my mac, so it's out as an option!
