This new feature snuck up on me, and I initially didn't like it. On my Windows computer I've been using alt-shift-D to quickly enter today's date, most often in meeting notes or when I have a note with entries on multiple dates. So recently I executed the command and the Today relative date appeared, when I was expecting today's numeric date. Not pleased - I deleted it and typed in the date manually.
Now that I have read your relative date explanation - I get it! Part of me still likes the visual of today's date in numbers, but I see the upside to the relative date changing over time. Glad to know I can turn off the relative dates, but for now I will leave them on and see how it goes.
Yes, it should be. @Today will say tomorrow the next day. I think you have to wait until a week later before it says last Wednesday. You can force it by clicking on the date and setting a date in the past.
I'm on 11.26.4 but this feature isn't available yet. If I manually type an @date into a note title, it does show as relative in the note list, but if I type an @ symbol when editing the note body, I just get the usual links to other notes, etc. Maybe it's on a slow rollout.
I just did some testing using a relative date only as a note title. If you sort the notebook by title, it does seem to put them in the correct order as if you were using YYYY-MM-DD which I really like, as it's a much more readable title.
It would be great if the Daily Notes title could be updated to use the new relative dates too. It still defaults to "July 20, 2026" format, which IMO is terrible.

You can change the format independently for each date as well I believe which can be useful.
What happens to something tagged as @today when you look at it on another day, like tomorrow? Is @last Wednesday always relative to the current date?

This could be a log out and back in again thing tokick it off. Didn't have to do it on desktop but needed it for mobile.

Agree. I checked earlier to see if the daily note date was dynamic but not. Also like to only see one daily note per day lol.
