I would like you to be able to analyze the content of different notes or documents. For example: Take my monthly electricity bills and tell me how much I've spent each month. Or, take my bank statement and generate a list of the beneficiaries of my payments.

That would be useful. I keep my energy statements in Evernote and it would nice to quickly compare costs to last year.

ASG SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVE EVERNOTE: DISCARD THE FEATURE THAT REQUIRES at least 1 note must TO be open — and take up nearly ½ the entire screen — at all times

SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVE EVERNOTE: Allow the user to collapse or hide the note that is always visible in the Note List and is always open at all times — and take up nearly ½ the entire screen — at all times. Evernote should allow the Note panel to be collapsed or removed from view, at least in the "Side View"; or even allow it to be minimized or greatly reduced, so the user can see their list of Notes. I do not see any reason why Evernote cannot enable collapsing/hiding whatever note is displayed adjacent to the list of notes. It takes up far too much space and is unnecessary. When I want the list I do not want half the page taken up by a note. If I want to visit a note I can do so. When I want the list, I really don't want to have an open note to distract me. It'salways there and there is no way that I know of to collapse it. Ther should be a way to view and work with the note list with no distractions. This cojuld be accomplished if the Note was collapsible.

This would be useful. Make sure you send it in as a feature request.

I have been using Chatgpt extensively for anything not too private. It keeps me learning on accelerated speed. I am working with Chatgpt chats to export to .enex files and populate the notes according to my templates. I have tried to train Chatgpt to use my uploaded templates appropriately, but it sees quite a steep learning curve, perhaps for the both of us :-). So, it takes quite some time and for smaller notes I'm typically faster. Bottomline, what I would like is an AI to be able to do al lot of my regular formatting according to my templates. I would also very much care for guardrails and controls regarding any information in notes or notebooks that I do not want to be shared or processed for AI learning.

edit.. and oh yes please: be able to do more with tables! headers, filtering, database-like-components, formula's..

All good stuff. Agree with being able to restrict certain notes or notebooks from AI.

I would love to see duplicate note detection and help selecting for removal. Maybe weigh the amount of duplication (80% similar, or 99% duplication based on content, not spacing or layout). Easy selection to remove one or more of the entries that are similar/duplicate.

I have clipped a lot over the years and added a lot of PDFs.

I know there are duplicates, and would love to clear the cruft, but they don't make it easy.

That would be useful. I tend to go through a few notebooks a couple of times a year and delete stuff that's not needed but it does take time.

I hope to see search improvements in v11. Dare I hope for regex? Being able to search for a regular expression would really be nice.

OBTW, I always enjoy your elephants. Whatever app or method you use to create them works really well.

Search improvemts are coming. I don't think regex is in the cards to there will be improvements. The elephants are fun to create. I use a custom GPT I created in ChatGPT.

Beside all UI enhancements, they should not forget to care for a modern and complete API like suggested in https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/152480-062-rest-api-to-evernote/

Moree AI features might be fancy at first glance - but if digging deeper, all my attempts ended in disappointment compared to "real" AI models like ChatCPT...

Totally agree with an API. I hope it gets some work at some point in the future and includes tasks. Right now my CRM emails tasks in as notes and I then manually make notes. I'd love to be able to get my CRM and invoice software to just created tasks for me.

Wait and see for the AI. I'm testing stuff right now and needs work, not done yet but very cool.

They don't reply to feature suggestions. They note them and based on popularity they move things into the development stage. If lots of other folks are asking for a similar thing then they usually look at developing it, if not then it may not arrive.

They have to do a major revision to the AI module and even then, I’m not holding my breath that it’s going to work. Every time I tried using the current module I found it to be totally worthless. It has a tendency to match most of the words in the question, and this returns many unrelated Notes as if you’re running a Boolean search using the OR operator.

There's a lot of work going on with search right now and changes coming soon. The current AI search isn't great but I've found it half useful to find answers to questions within notes, especially things like user manuals.
