The highlighter tool needs an option to highlight selected text - such that the highlight is inherently aligned with the text - the way most PDF highlighter tools work. The freehand highlight approach seems novel at first, but quickly gets to somewhere between annoying to unusable.

Good point. It can look a little untidy. I'll mention this.

Hi Jon, you write that this new functionality is in version 11.34.8 I checked but in my version this is not yet available. I see this with all new releases, it seem to arrive in an new version later? Do you know the cause?

The Windows store download can take 5 - 7 days to arrive. Direct downloads are available on the EN website but you'd need to uninstall the Win Store app first then install the direct download version, might be worth just hanging on.

Great improvements! It would be nice if the text we add to a pdf document was searchable in Evernote. The visual arrows, stamps, etc are nice, but searchable text (psuedo tag) could take you directly to the page you are seeking.

That's a good idea. I'll pass it on.

If a PDF contains various images, is there any way of ensuring the images don't get awkwardly split across pages? Even a forced 'new page' would help.

I don't think so. You can't do much more than annotate and deal with single pages. It doesn't touch the actual content of the PDF.

Thank you Jon. Any reason for most Evernote users to maintain an Adobe PDF subscription now? If not, Evernote becomes significantly less expensive..

Maybe not unless you need form filling and whatnot.

I've just cancelled my Office 365 subscription. I can use Evernote and ChatGPT to create Word docs and PowerPoints. Put that on top of Todoist and Otter that I cancelled over a year ago!
