Is there a way to inactivate AI in Evernote?

Jon Tromans's avatar

Yes, if you head into Settings -> Preferences -> AI Features you can turn them all off or just some of them.

Thank you, Jon! AI banished.

Hi Jon:

I love tables so I prefer your callouts.

Don't apologise for lengthy post, Jon! The more there is means more developments in Evernote!

I like the call-outs feature. To change their background colour, you could always use the highlight option on the text.

Not sure about the AI note titles, especially if I want to organise them in a particular format - as you've also recommended in the past

I do like the note tab shortcuts, as they are really helpful, and the extension of the task kingdom is a good feature.

The Evernote video on semantic search is definitely worth washing. It helps consolidate what you wrote about previously. I would hope that Evernote could do more videos like this. They seem to have just done ones which don't have an explanatory soundtrack. So it's not always easy to comprehend what's going on.

Still waiting for those / and @ commands on mobile...

So, / and @ bug has been fixed so they'll be continuing with the roll out... fingers crossed very soon now!

OOPS - MCP (I knew I had it wrong :) )

We're floating down a river of acronym soup!

Another TLA (three letter acronym)

Someone told me that these are actually initialisms; a true acronym is one that makes a recogniseable word (e.g. ICE for internal combustion engine etc)

A big YES vote from me for an MPI!

MCP≠API IMO!

Jon Tromans's avatar

True. API is coming... they're currently interviewing folk about what they want. If you want I could see if I can get you a calendar link for the interviews?

Neil Thompson's avatar

Yes please that would be good. Can’t complain about it if I have some input!

Jon Tromans's avatar

I've asked them for a link if they're still interviewing. I'll DM it if I get one.

I have absolutely no idea what I’d use the callouts feature for.

Jon Tromans's avatar

I use them a fair bit. I used to make my own out of tables. Use them as warnings or information for clients so they hopefully read the bit they’re meant to! I also use them to warn myself about certain actions. I have to do some file changes with some of the web dev stuff i work with and have a call out to remind me to remove an old file so it doesn’t conflict.

Just saw this video which was interesting. Can connect to 9-10,000 apps. Checked and Evernote is one of them
