Evernote’s smarter note search now digs through PDFs and inline tags, while automatic image captions and a beefed-up AI Assistant add useful functionalty.
I tried using the assistant to move all notebooks out of a Space, but it claimed that the Space was empty. Same when I tried it for a single notebook. I can see how much faster and aligned with my thought process it is to move notes and notebooks around with speech rather than moving to the mouse and clicking around though.
Another feature I'd like is AI file renaming. I have a lot of notes with receipts and screenshots called 'snapshot' or 'CleanShot 2026....' etc. It would be great to rename the files automatically, even better if you could specify a naming convention in settings like 'YYYY-MM-DD something.png' for a receipt.

On my machine (Win11), you can just hit enter repeatedly after doing the Ctrl F search to jump to each new instance of the search term which is nice and easy. Tried Shift Enter to see if it would also work backwards but alas no (perhaps something that EN can add in due course). Can also tab from the Ctrl F search box to get to the inline tag search
Another useful and interesting post. EN continues to add small and helpful improvements I like the enhanced Find feature.
You commented that the AIA misinterpreted the suit worn by the elephant in your captioning example. I don't think it was a misinterpretation but just that in the US they tend to use the word "vest" for what we Brits call a waistcoat 🤣 Just an instance of those South Canadians changing things...
The automatic captioning feature for images has been a problem for me. Almost every image automatically receives a caption, and I don’t want most of them because they change the entire structure of my note. Then I have to manually hide the caption for each picture.

Interesting. I had the MCP tell me a note was empty today when it wasn't. I'll see if I can replicate it.

Try a log out and back in again as it shouldn't show the caption by default. Could be a bug.
You can also turn off captioning in the settings under AI.
