I have a question for iPhone users. Does Evernote work on your iPhones? Lately, I find that EN on iOS crashes just about every time I open it. I’ve had to uninstall the EN app, as if I try to open the web version, it insists on opening the app which then crashes and won’t let me access my notes. I’ve reinstalled the EN app after removing it, but the crashes continue. EN works OK on my iPad, so this glitch only affects my iPhone. I haven’t yet upgraded to iOS 27 to see if that fixes this problem. Is anyone else experiencing similar crashes in iOS?
Thanks. I tried uninstalling, but didn’t do a soft reset. I’ll have to try that next. In the meantime, now that I uninstalled the app. I can use the web version which works surprisingly fast.
I don’t like creating long documents in EN—short notes are fine, but for longer documents I use Pages. Thankfully, I’m retired so I don’t have to worry about corresponding with clients. But I recently had a few occasions where I had to draft longer letters using legalese terms and referring to other documents, such as contracts, covenants, etc. In such cases, I upload all the documents that need to be referenced into Grok and ask her to analyze these for specific points of interest. Once she completes this task, I provide her with bullet points describing the items I want to include in the letter and let her draft the letter. Based on what she provides, I may ask her to change or add a few additional points. I then ask her to save the draft into a Word file, which I open in Pages and complete editing it. This has worked very well for me so far.
Talking about Grok, I tried connecting Grok.com to Evernote’s MCP, but it was blocked by EN. Grok makes an advanced version called Grok Build that can be installed on a Mac and runs through terminal (I don’t know how this works in Windows). Build allows me to give Grok access to files on my local drive(s), so that these files are not uploaded to Grok’s servers and remain on my drives. Otherwise, Grok Build works like Grok.com. I switched to Grok from Perplexity and ChatGPT and find that I like it much better. I was able to connect Grok Build to my Evernote account and it works flawlessly, accessing my notes—I find it a lot more reliable than using EN’s built-in ChatGPT.

I did check with one of the devs a while ago and Evernote don't block Grok. If it reports that it may be hallucinating. Evernote apparently use standard MCP handshakes and its down to the AI to accept them.
I also heard from one of the other EN experts and they have Grok connected. Maybe fire off a support request to Grok could solve it.
Since I connected Grok Build to my EN account, I haven’t gone back to see if Grok.com will connect now. That was a while ago when I tried it, so perhaps that’s been fixed as I had reported the problem to EN’s Tech Support. When Grok failed to connect, it insisted that it was using standard MCP connection protocols and that EN was blocking it. That was kind of verified by EN’s answer from Tech Support, as they stated that the MCP was still in beta and they only supported three AI apps at the time.

All good on my iPhone. I have a 16e with iOS 27. Didn't have an issue beforehand.
The website won't work on mobile but the app should. Maybe an uninstall, reboot to clear caches and reinstall may help.
